After numerous discussions with area breeders we felt the need for another Netherland Dwarf specialty club within the Region 8. One of our main objectives will be to promote the Netherland Dwarf through specialty shows throughout the Texas area.

  As we bring in new breeders into the hobby. We will continue to enjoy the longevity of "The Gem of the Fancy". Invite prospective breeders to upcoming shows, and take the time to introduce them to your fellow Netherland Dwarf breeders and our wonderful hobby.

  In my opinion this will help grow the number of breeders, and thus increase the number of Netherland Dwarfs being displayed. Assist new breeders in setting up a breeding program, and set attainable goals for their Dwarf breeding programs.

  As we all know, what works for one breeder may not work for another. Success usually will not happen overnight. Patience is the key when raising Netherland Dwarfs. I suggest to all newcomers to get as many opinions from the experienced breeders, and build upon your personal preferences.
